This is the southern tip of Greenland. Once I was flying a Cessna 152 to Germany on this route, and an 1100-foot overcast prevented me from climbing up over the inland ice enroute to Reykjavik. Instead of flying all the way back down the fjord to the ocean and then around the coast, I used an aeronautical topographical chart to find my way from fjord to fjord, exiting the maze at the OZN beacon at the mouth of Prinz Christian Sund. It was one of the most spectacular flights I've ever made. These photos are from 9,000 feet in a Cessna 172—but I think Greenland is amazing from any altitude.
