Introduction
What I like about Hilo is that it's just a typical American town. It could be in Indiana, or Kansas, or Texas. But it's not. It's in Paradise.
This photo is of Banyan Drive. The trees were mostly planted in the 1930's; each tree has a sign with the date and the name of a person who helped plant it. Some of the names are unfamiliar to me—others, I've heard of: George Herman (Babe) Ruth, King George V, Amelia Earhart....
