Kilauea (elevation 3980') is a satellite volcano on the east flank of Mauna Loa (13,677'). It's the featured attraction of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. This view is from the Steaming Bluff across Kilauea Caldera to Halema'uma'u Crater. (A caldera, to save you looking it up, is a large crater typically formed after a major eruption by the collapse of a volcano into its newly hollow core.)
